Jenise A. English earned her A.A. in Social Welfare from Northwest Nazarene College (1977). After working with the Head Start Program and managing Pre-School/After School Programs, Jenise returned to school, obtaining her Elementary (K-8) and Special Education (K-12) Degrees from Boise State University. She has also completed her M.Ed. in Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University and is licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Idaho.
As an educator, Jenise has taught students with learning disabilities and emotional handicapping conditions at the 9th-12th grade level. She spent a year teaching in Kiev, Ukraine in an International School educating students ages 4-13 from 18 different countries. Since then Jenise has also worked as a high school counselor and now as an elementary school counselor.
Jenise has taught workshops on adaptive techniques/strategies for students with learning disabilities and led in-service training on team leadership among staff. In her school district she chairs the Public Relations Committee and presently serves on the Visions Committee, Care Team and Career Development Committee.
In counseling her interests lie in helping women break through their fears, unleash their power and ultimately find their inner self. She also has extensive experience working with adolescents, children and families. She joined Celeritous Dancer, Chtd. and the Edgerly's counseling practice in 2000 where she maintains an active private practice.
Jenise is an active student of the martial arts. She has trained and fought in full contact kickboxing in Kiev, Ukraine and currently trains in Taek-won-do.
With the Edgerly's leaving Boise Jenise is joining practice with psychologist Yvette Ward, Psy.D. She will continue to mainatin a genral practice in psychotherapy and will direct the Idaho division of Untaming Programs. Her new office is located at 1414 W. Franklin St, Boise, Id. 83702. Her new phone number is 208-571-1222 and the Fax number is 208-3965-1948. Jenise will continue to offer excellent general practice services. Psychologist Yvette Ward, Psy.D. is outstanding and has been known to the Edgerlys for many years.They will present a powerful force in the Boise mental health world.
