For 19 years Dave lived in Boise, Idaho with his wife and their 2 dogs and 2 cats.

However, two years ago Dave recognized he had accomplished every goal and dream he had for clinical practice. With this awareness, and the support of Chelona, he pursued his next dreams and goals by applying for faculty positions at undergraduate institutions across the country. He obtained a position at his first choice, Quincy University in Quincy, Illinois where he continues to serve as faculty. While leaving his practice and Albertson College of Idaho had some sadness for him, this sadness has continued to be surpassed by his excitement in teaching at Quincy University. Dave currently teaches the Clinical courses (Counseling, Abnormal Psychology, Personality Theory, Practicum) as well as the developmental courses (Child Psychology and Adolescent Psychology). He has also had the chance to teach a course in Marriage, a Philosophy class in The Common Good and a experimental program offering college credit Introduction to Psychology at Quincy Notre Dame High School. After over two years every day in the classroom still invigorates him and reminds him why he chose to teach.

Dave and Chelona now blissfully reside in Quincy, Illinois.
